Westover offers

Westover offers complete solutions for logistics and production automation. As an experienced system integrator, we combine software and hardware into one. Because we develop the software ourselves, our systems are always reliable, up-to-date and easy to expand. Our strength lies in customization and flexibility.

Still have questions?

Electrical drawings

We create all schematics in E-plan, a standard used worldwide. This gives you direct insight into switch boxes, cabling and connections.

This prevents errors, makes maintenance faster, and ensures that expansions run efficiently. An installation with good documentation is easy to manage and continues to function reliably.

Commissioning worldwide

Installing a new line or machine abroad presents challenges: different standards, languages and conditions often cause delays. Entrepreneurs risk high costs and technicians lack on-site support.

Our engineers supervise complete commissioning, anywhere in the world. We ensure that installations are built correctly, tested and integrated with local systems.

Retrofit

Westover gives existing machinery a second life. We refurbish switch boxes, controls and components so that the installation once again meets modern requirements. In this way, an old packaging line or conveyor becomes reliable and efficient again, without the need for a complete replacement.

The result: lower investment, less downtime and a process that is ready for the future.

PLC Software engineering

Automation stands or falls with reliable software. Without good PLC control, machines do not communicate properly with each other and errors occur. That costs time and lowers capacity.

Westover develops proprietary PLC software that allows machines and systems to work together seamlessly. Whether it's a production line, internal logistics or a packaging process, we make sure everything runs smoothly and flawlessly.

3D Layout

A new automation solution often requires big decisions. Without a visual understanding of how systems fit within the business, the risk of making the wrong choices is high.

With a 3D layout, Westover makes visible in advance how a line or installation looks and functions. You see how products flow, where machines are placed and how workstations connect.

Maintenance & service

Every minute a production or logistics process is down means loss. Without proper maintenance, breakdowns often come unexpectedly and at the worst times.

With customized maintenance and service, Westover keeps your processes running. We offer preventive maintenance, quick assistance in case of breakdowns and access to parts and expertise. This minimizes downtime and keeps your operation reliable.

HARDWARE

Westover works with reliable hardware from leading partners.
For example, we combine proprietary software with conveyors, palletizers, packaging machines and printers that speed up processes and make them error-free.

Conveyor

call without obligation

Conveyors are the backbone of logistics and production. They move boxes, trays and pallets in a controlled and error-free manner, eliminating manual work and making the flow predictable. Depending on the product and load, you choose roller conveyors (gravity or powered/MDR), belt conveyors (for light or unstable items) or chain/plate conveyors (heavier loads). Curves, elevators and turntables ensure that the track fits exactly into the available space, without compromising capacity or safety.

For each application, there are modules that make the line smarter: stop and measure stations for positioning, sensors and photocells for sensing, weighing units for inline control, telescopic sections for efficient loading/unloading, and accumulation zones (zero-pressure) to monitor product distance. In DCs, ejectors/diverters, merge/sorter modules (e.g. pop-up, shoe or crossbelt) and buffer sections control constant, orchestrated flow to the correct packing, sorting or shipping point. In production environments, the belt secures a continuous supply towards processing, assembly or packaging.

Cleverly combining conveyors with printers (print-&-apply), packaging machines and palletizers creates a flexible, reliable line that grows with demand. Think of quick-release side guides for quick format changes, maintenance-friendly drives, and integrated safety (light screens, emergency stops, guards). This way you build modularly: a basic line today, expand tomorrow with additional tracks, buffers or a sorter-ready for high volumes and future growth.

An automated line consists of tangible modules that make up a single logistics "highway." At the beginning, infeed and buffering take over and dose the flow of products or boxes. Conveyors move everything through the line in a controlled manner, while guides, turntables and elevators take care of alignment, orientation and elevation. Where needed, pick-and-place robots place products with high accuracy into carriers or directly into the package; grippers and vision can be quickly changed for other formats or materials.

Then the packaging machine sizes, fills and seals the carton-from single pieces to composite sets. Print-&-apply stations (label/LPN/THT) apply barcodes and data codes; weighing, scanning and vision control immediately check whether weight, dimensions and labels are correct. The sorting line takes care of the flow to the right place: depending on volume and product type, you choose for example a shoe-sorter, crossbelt or tilt-tray, if necessary with pop-up/diverters and chutes towards the packing place, shipping compartment or return zone.

At the end of the line, the palletizer forms stable stacking patterns for pallets; pallet buffers and additional conveyors handle temporary storage and removal towards dock or warehouse location. Safety (guards, emergency stops, light curtains), accessible maintenance (hatches, pull-out frames, quick disconnects) and modularity (sections that can be extended or replaced) are considered everywhere. This creates a robust, scalable hardware solution that can handle high volumes and is easy to service.
